While I was working at Gallery B612, the Sodo Business Association was in process to make a beloved 10 Year Anniversary promotional video produced by Particle Studios. The gallery owner, MiYoung Margolis, and I were speaking talent briefly sharing of our experiences with the Sodo BIA.
MiYoung and I enjoyed it very much and are incredibly grateful for what the team does for all the Sodo businesses. This was one of the first experiences I've had in front of the camera performing as talent. I'm a bit hesitant to share, but just a few months back, I was also asked to be on camera in the gallery by KING5 Seattle News. It's some sad and slightly concerning news headline, but this was my first time on television!
I was pretty nervous that morning as the KING5 staff arrived soon after the gallery had opened and I didn't get a chance to get my morning coffee yet! After some time of the staff convincing me to do it, I went agreed and it wasn't so bad, except for my poor hairstyle decision that day. You can see more about it here.
Later on, the SODO BIA hosted a special networking party where they screened the video. What a lovely event that was for the SODO BIA “State of SoDo” 10 Year Anniversary! Special thanks to Particle Studios for an amazing video! Really excited for the growth of Sodo in the next five years! 🥳
I made an Instagram reel highlighting the networking event.
